Our History

Carrying on a tradition...

A 4th generation farming family, Gerald and Vicki King and their children carry on the art of potato farming that began in 1949 by Gerald’s parents, David and Rhoda King.

In the early years without machinery, the family would tirelessly pick potatoes into baskets by hand, and load and unload 50 pound sacks by hand. Now, machines do most of the heavy lifting!

Gerald and his brother grow over 150 acres of potatoes, along with hay and grains. This family teamwork allows the year-round work of growing potatoes to progress smoothly. From fieldwork and soil preparation to planting and harvesting, each step in the growth process is important.
